Ontario has reduced capacity to 50% for most businesses and public spaces due to the arrival of the Omicron variant, effective December 17, 2021. Precautions and protocols remain in place throughout the building.

Ontario will now allow full capacity with a "Proof of Vaccination" for most businesses and public spaces, effective October 25, 2021.  However we are still in Stage 3 therefor precautions and protocols remain in place throughout the building.

Ontario will soon require a "Proof of Vaccination" to access a wide range of businesses and public spaces, effective September 22, 2021. Precautions and protocols remain in place throughout the building.

Ontario has now moved into "Stage Three" of a “Three Stage Reopening Plan” effective July 16, 2021. Precautions remain in place throughout the building as we look forward to more relaxation of the restrictions.

Ontario has now moved into "Stage One" of a “Three Stage Reopening Plan”. Precautions remain in place throughout the building even as the number of new cases in the city continues to fall and the vaccine role out is well underway.

Ontario has announced a new province wide "Stay-at-Home Order" effective April 8, 2021. The city is now in effectively in a Shut-Down and residents must continue to follow the Provincial guidelines.  Ottawa Public Health has advised residents to remain vigilant.

Ontario has ended the province wide lock down effective February 16, 2021 in the Ottawa region.  The city is now in the Red - Restrict zone and residents must continue to follow the Provincial guidelines.  Ottawa Public Health has advised residents to remain vigilant.

Ontario has issued a province wide lock down effective December 26, 2020 to last for at least 28 days. Provincial guidelines require residents to avoid all unnecessary travel and to stay home except to buy necessary supplies. Ottawa Public Health has advised residents to remain vigilant.

The City of Ottawa is currently in an Orange Zone according to the latest provincial COVID guidelines.  Ottawa Public Health has advised residents to remain vigilant in order to maintain our Orange Zone status.

Ottawa Public Health has issued a Class Order which includes fines of up to $5000 per day for anyone not self-isolating for 14 days or following the rules when a person suspects that they may have been infected, effective September 22, 2020.

The vast majority of residents have been very cooperative in following the City of Ottawa Bylaw requiring the wearing of Face Masks in the common areas of our building.  The Board and Property Managers would like to thank you for helping to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  The bylaw allows exceptions for those who for medical reasons, or age exemptions, cannot wear a mask.  Otherwise, we request that everyone abide by the bylaw. Please review the details of the Bylaw which can include fines of up to $500 per day to a maximum of $100,000 if convicted.

Residents are advised to avoid anyone who is not wearing a mask. Take the next elevator, or politely ask them not to join you if you are already in the elevator.  If you are a person that has an exemption from wearing a mask, please be considerate of your neighbours and wait for the next elevator.

The City of Ottawa is mandating the use of Face Masks in indoor public spaces, including the common areas of condominium buildings. Everyone entering or passing through the common elements of the building are now required to wear a Face Mask in order to protect the health, safety, and well-being of residents, guests, and others on the property. Notices have been posted to this effect, along with Ottawa Public Health notices reminding residents to Be COVID Kind to those who cannot wear a mask for medical reasons.

Please note that a COVID-19 Elevator Protocol for Building Staff is now in effect.  The Board of Directors, as Occupiers of the building responsible for staff and contractors, require that residents wait for the next elevator if the elevator is occupied by a Corporation contractor (cleaners and security) or staff member (superintendent).  When entering the elevator that is occupied by others (particularly the vulnerable or aged), kindly ask if they are comfortable with you entering.  In turn, if an occupant requests that you do not enter, please respect their wish and wait for another elevator.

The Corporation was been advised that a contractor who was in the lobby area on April 24, 2020 tested positive for COVID-19 a few days later. Accordingly, we’ve had the lobby area professionally sanitized. Cleaning and Security staff are following their own company protocols. Please see this Important Message posted today.

For residents of 200 Rideau in isolation. Should you need help during the pandemic, Volunteers in our building are available to assist you with groceries, pharmacy, and other basic necessities. Or, If you are willing to assist in this project, please refer to the Notice that was distributed to all units, or call the front desk 613-241-4440, for contact information.

Corona-virusCorona-virus Preventive Measures
Our management and staff have implemented some Preventive Measures to help reduce the spread of the Corona-virus in the building.
To assist management and the Board to plan adjustments to our procedures, unit residents in isolation are requested to notify Mike Fraser including the start and end dates of their isolation. 

Residents are urged to be kind to their neighbours and friends in isolation through personal arrangements to assist with such things as moving any deliveries from the street level to the door of the unit in isolation.  Please review this Important Message from our Property Manager regarding ongoing maintenance issues in the building.
