Introduction - The corporations at 200 and 234 Rideau are requsting that Owners and
Tenants register their vehicles to assist security in identifying unauthorized vehicles parked
in the garage. Please complete this form to Register the Primary Vehicle that you have
authorized to park your parking spot.
This information (once verified) will grant your Unit an Exemption to New Visitors
Parking Restrictions and an official Certificate of Parking Ownership to show city
by-law officers when having a vehicle towed from your parking spot.
Note 1 - In order to improve availability in Visitors
Parking, a unit must wait 7 days before sponsoring any vehicle again, unless an Exemption
has been applied.
Note 2 - An Exemption will be granted to allow a
Unit to Sponsor Another Vehicle in Visitors Parking after only one day has passed, once the
Resident has Registered their Primary Vehicle(s) parked in the garage and the information has been
verified by Security.
Note 3 - Resident Vehicle(s) are prohibited from using
Visitors Parking at any time. Abuse of the system will result in Unit suspension from the
Visitors Parking.
Note 1 - The majority of Units come with a
Private Parking Spot in the garage for the exclusive use by the owner or their tenant.
Unfortunately, vehicles are sometimes found occupying a parking spot without the owner's
permission. The corporations have no jurisdiction over private parking spots, however,
security can provide guidance on how to have an unauthorized vehicle towed from your
parking spot.
Note 2 - If a Unit owns (or rents) more that one
parking space, please submit a separate form for each parking space and vehicle(s) that you
have authorized.
Note 3 - If you don't own a vehicle but want to keep
your parking space open for service personal or visitors, please list the vehicle most likely
to use your parking space and that you have authorized. Security will not contact you
if another vehicle is parked in your spot unless you have filed a complaint or a known
unauthorized vehicle is observed in your parking spot.
Note 4 - If your Unit does not own an associated parking
spot in the garage, please enter None in the Parking Spot field. However, you must
still Register your vehicle if you are renting another parking spot in the garage in order to be
granted the Exemption. Please specify your rented Parking Spot location in the Comments.
Note 5 - Certificate of Parking Ownership will
be available (Mon to Fri 7am-3pm) from the Front Desk once the information submitted has
been verified by the Security Supervisor. Certificates are not available to Residents renting a
parking space from another Unit.
